Elopement Photographer Amalfi Coast: Claire & Colby’s Intimate Wedding

When Claire and Colby reached out to me, they had one thing in mind: a wedding day that was all about them, their love, and the stunning beauty of the Amalfi Coast. As an elopement photographer on the Amalfi Coast, I’ve seen some incredible love stories, but this one truly warmed my heart.

Claire and Colby are an adventurous couple from Colorado who decided to trade mountain peaks for the Mediterranean sea. With just nine guests, their closest family and friends, they created an unforgettable day that felt more like a dream than reality.

The Setting: A Magical Amalfi Coast View

The day started with a light breeze and golden sunlight streaming through the windows of their charming villa. Perched on a cliff, the villa Vettica overlooked the turquoise waters of the Amalfi Coast. Claire got ready with her mom  by her side and chose an amazing Mira Zwillinger wedding gown, while Colby enjoyed a quiet moment, writing his vows on the terrace.

The couple had rented a stunning villa in Amalfi with a breathtaking sea view, which served as the perfect location for both their ceremony and their intimate dinner celebration. Ceremony took place in a small, hidden garden filled with vibrant bougainvillea and the scent of lemon trees. The backdrop? Endless views of the sea and the iconic Amalfi cliffs. It was intimate, emotional, and so personal that even I had to blink back tears behind the camera.

Capturing the Magic

One of the most incredible parts of being an elopement photographer on the Amalfi Coast is the way the natural beauty amplifies the love between two people. Claire and Colby’s connection was palpable—the way they looked at each other, held hands, and laughed together made every shot feel effortless.

From the preparations to the ceremony, their first dance, and an aperitivo on the villa’s terrace, every moment was filled with joy and love. The dinner took place on another terrace, with a panoramic sea view that provided the perfect backdrop for heartfelt toasts and a romantic evening.

Dinner Under the Stars

The evening ended with a candlelit dinner on the villa’s terrace. The small group shared heartfelt toasts as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink. Claire and Colby danced under the stars to a soft melody played by a local musician, their smiles brighter than any of the lights twinkling in the distance.
